Collettivo Superazione started with the intent of organizing a small Performing Arts Festival in 2016 on the topic of /re.si.lien.ce/ which took place on 24/25/26 June 2016 at Fornace Pasquinucci, Piazza Raffaello Dori – Capraia Fiorentina – (Florence)

It then became a cultural association operating on a non-profit basis, founded by six people with different artistic trainings and fields of knowledge, who have been working for years promoting progress in terms of culture and human conditions. The goal of the association is promoting culture in all its forms as a constructive act of emancipation and personal and social liberation. All the founders share the idea that contemporary art should overcome the obsolete technical and critical parameters that reduce it to a pastime and to pure market and regain the cognitive, critical and political values that it deserves.

The association aims at realizing and enhancing initiatives and services in support of culture, arts in general and performing arts in particular, all over the national territory.

Collettivo Superazione is composed by:

Barbara Fluvi, art conservator and artist. Silvia Mordini, art historian. Omer Murat Onol, translator and artist. Giacomo Verde, teacher and artist. Paola Bonaiuti, translatr. Catia Lari Faccenda, musician and writer.

Barbara Fluvi
Her artistic journey starts with studies of graphics, photography and video art and she keeps on experimenting different styles. She usually depicts human beings in their everyday lives, the very moment in which they have to face themselves and their deepest and most intimate bewilderment. She’s fascinated by the concepts of “double” and “inside” and is convinced that sculptures should move.

Silvia Mordini
Contemporary art historian, she gathered a bunch of different experiences over time. Private teacher, curator, museum guide, collaborator of TV Tokyo for some documentaries about Florentine Renaissance, she cherishes the dream of becoming an entomologist, but every night she locks it back into a drawer.

Murat Önol
Born in Istanbul, in Turkey, he lives in Italy since 2001. During the high school, he starts to deal with poetry and during the university he shows an interest for music, cinema and painting. In 1997 he graduates in French Language and Literature. Since 2007 he’s been participating to various exhibitons both collective and personal, with paintings and installations. Since 2010 he’s doing mostly performances.

Giacomo Verde
He has been working in theatre and the visual arts since the 1970s. Since the 1980s he has produced works through the creative use of ‘low’ technology, such as video art, techno-performances, theatre shows, installations and learning workshops. He was one of the first Italians to create interactive art works and net-art. Reflecting on and playfully experimenting with the latest techno-anthropo-logical developments underway and building bridges between different art genres is a constant with Verde.

Organizational collaboration: Katia Lari e Paola Bonaiuti
